Anthoula is a fully qualified acupuncturist with a first-class BSc Honours degree from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, affiliated to Kingston University. She is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Her practice integrates two styles of acupuncture: Traditional Chinese Medicine, which can be an effective treatment for a wide variety of physical problems and emotional imbalances; and Five Element acupuncture, which seeks to treat the inner core of one’s identity and can bring balance and vitality on a deeper level.
Anthoula’s approach to treatment is tailored and unique to the individual’s needs and their lifestyle. In the first consultation, a thorough case history will be taken and a personal treatment plan devised.
Acupuncture can treat digestive issues, musculoskeletal conditions such as back, shoulder, neck and knee pain, migraine and headaches, gynaecological conditions, infertility, allergic respiratory conditions, addictions, anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, fatigue and tiredness.
Anthoula practises from Highgate Holistic Clinic and from Neal’s Yard, Borough Market. She also treats in a busy multi-bed acupuncture clinic in Stoke Newington.
Before training to become an acupuncturist, Anthoula worked in management consultancy and interior design. As a mother of three teenagers, she appreciates today’s lifestyle challenges and hectic pace and is passionate about acupuncture as a natural and effective therapy to help balance the body and mind to optimise wellbeing and both physical and emotional health.
Therapies offered: acupuncture, moxa, tuina, cupping, guasha.
Anthoula has also completed training in facial acupuncture with John Tindall and is currently furthering her studies in this field.
